I volunteer weekly in therapeutic riding lessons, hippotherapy sessions, or equine facilitated psychotherapy by either walking beside the client and assisting them with stabilization, therapeutic holds, and understanding instructions, or by caring for and leading the horse throughout the session. NCTRC is accredited as a Premier Center by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.

I administered mediations and oversaw activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, and ambulation for a 13 year old adolescent with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome. I provided gastronomy tube feedings and stoma care of gastronomy tube, managed pre and postoperative care, and supervised speech therapy sessions.

I completed 25 hours of shadowing under Dr. Elliot Williams, an anesthesiologist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist - High Point Medical Center. I observed patient interactions and evaluation of patient history, vital monitoring and drug administration, data entry and charting, and multiple surgeries and procedures including coronary artery bypass graft, tricuspid valve replacement, spinal fusion, joint replacement, intubations, epidurals, nerve blocks and more.

I worked as a hostess in an upscale restaurant, greeting and escorting guests to their tables as well as managing the seating chart, server rotations, and reservation list.

I worked as a lifeguard and snack bar manager for my local pool, helping to keep facilities clean as well as prevent injury. I also prepared and served food to patrons.

I volunteered for the Shalom project in preparing, packaging, and transporting food to be distributed to those in need in nearby communities.
