Responsible for oversight of environmental aspects of several Pacific Highway Projects, including the Tintenbar to Ewingsdale upgrade, a 17.3 kilometre, $700M+ project. I was involved in this project from the immediate post-approval phase through to peak construction in an on-site role. My role on the project covered management of environmental issues through four distinct phases: post-approval and pre-tender, tender assessment and contract preparation, pre-construction and early works, and on-site full time during construction.

Responsible for provision of advice to project development and management staff regarding the environmental implications and legislative requirements of road and bridge maintenance, upgrade and construction projects; assessing environmental impact assessment reports and preparation of determination documentation for approval; and undertaking inspections and audits of construction works to ensure environmental compliance.

North East Branch, Coffs Harbour, Nsw

Administration of the Aboriginal heritage provisions of the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Act, including review and processing of applications for archaeological test excavation, salvage and consents to destroy, as well as preparation of ministerials and briefing notes, and acting as an expert witness for prosecutions by the Department in relation to breaches of the NPW Act.
