I am an Intervention Specialist dedicated to serving children and adults with disabilities by providing them opportunities to succeed in their education and in their daily lives. I believe that all children have the ability to learn. Every child is unique and different and they have needs that can be met to better themselves and their education. As an Intervention Specialist I feel that it is most important to understand every child’s needs and how to best provide support for each child. The use of a transdisciplinary approach can provide students with correct sensory, communication, and educational supports her or she may need. As a teacher it is my job to provide students with differentiated instruction, and a positive learning environment. Through my experiences, I have come to understand that not all students respond to one instruction. Not all students are the same therefore to better enhance instruction, using all three learning styles in a lesson can create success in the classroom. When students are provided with these experiences and the opportunity to succeed, it will create a positive learning environment enriched with differentiated learning and the ability to learn and grow as an individual in the classroom and as a member of the community.
