Engagement Officer for a conservation charity that works to protect the natural and cultural heritage of Snowdonia National Park. My role involves: planning, budgeting and delivering a busy annual events programme for our supporters with workshops, walks and talks about the National Park; developing and carrying out the organisation’s engagement strategy; communicating our work protecting the National Park to a variety of different audiences both online and inperson; and working with multi-sector partner organisations. Further responsibilities include designing and producing online and printed publicity and campaign materials (leaflets, interpretation boards, infographics, adverts, news articles and merchandise), representing the charity at stakeholder meetings and in the media (bilingual television and radio interviews) and quarterly reporting to trustees and funders. All work is conducted bilingually through the mediums of English and Welsh.

Community Engagement Officer for a social enterprise in environmental education. Responsibilities involved working alongside children and young people in outdoor classroom settings and urban gardens to promote an enthusiasm for - and interest in - the natural environment. Practical conservation, sustainable food production and forest school classes were planned and delivered on sites across north Wales. Other responsibilities included marketing and communications, partner liaison and budgeting. All work was conducted bilingually through the mediums of English and Welsh.

Organising team member for the 2015 World Forum on Natural Capital: a two-day international event held in Edinburgh in November 2015 to encourage business to account for environmental degradation. Project partners included the UN Environment Programme, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, Natural Capital Coalition and The Wildlife Trusts.Responsibilities included day-today administration and organisational tasks, carrying out the project communications strategy, bookings organisation, liaising with project partners and working with the Project Manager and Director to put together an exciting programme of speakers from international business, government and environment sectors.

To fund my higher education I established a successful seasonal business in the Scottish Highlands with my partner. Ensuring a high quality visitor experience in a location inaccessible by car, with no electricity in a remote environment required outstanding organisation, creative and interpersonal skills. Main responsibilities included: creating, managing and maintaining a marketing strategy to secure business (including website creation, branding, advertising and liaising with the press); running the business day-to-day (organising daily events, activities and workshops for guests from foraging and wildlife watching to natural craft workshops); consistently providing wholesome meals of an excellent standard; practical conservation and land management; and the general maintenance of a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere whatever the circumstances. 6-month full-time contract for a CIC (Community Interest Company) based in Sheffield, providing contemporary, innovative educational materials for secondary school relationships education (PSE). My main duty was to help boost the profile of this start-up community interest company. Responsibilities included digital marketing and branding, poster and hand-out materials design for events; website maintenance and development; attending relevant external events as a representative; writing and organising press releases and accounts management.

I successfully gained a paid 6-month contract with the WYFSD after volunteering with them during my youth. Main responsibilities involved promoting the organisation through media, event and campaign delivery, marketing and publications; recruiting and managing youngvolunteers; attending relevant external events; designing and conducting workshops in schools, colleges, youth clubs and universities in Wales; liaising with the Welsh Assembly Government and contributing to quarterly and annual reports. I was also fortunate to coordinate and take part in a youth-led project in a community woodland in North Wales. Main responsibility involved creatively engaging local members and volunteers from the community with decision-making about the future uses of the woodland. Much of my work was conducted with communities across Wales, through the medium of Welsh.Towards the end of my contract I played a pivotal role in rebranding the Youth Forum- designing the new name and logo for Dyfodol.

Unpaid internship with an international Landscape Architecture and Urban Design practice in Amsterdam. Responsibilities included working on small and large scale design projects (master-planning, montage, geographical data collection); site visits/ surveying; attending meetings with local community representatives. I worked on producing different series of atmospheric digitally-created visuals and was fortunate to have mine selected for public exhibitions and studio publications.
