Here I ran a start-up by myself for a year as general manager, where I oversaw operations in CRM, purchasing, technical services, and rentals. Involved in everything, from daily operations and personnel, to accounts, finances, and contacting customers, I was the go-to for all operations. I also sourced newproducts, created and launched our rental equipment distribution and return program, and made sure all products met our quality assurances.Always looking to better our workflow, I also created, initiated, and kept assessing initiatives and behavioral action plans so we could continuously improve. I also trained and mentored new personnel in gas detector procedures to make sure we had a fantastic health and safety standard through the company.My work here also included helping to increase the company’s online presence to boost our customer base. I was also involved in many IT projects to create systems that would easily track orders, our inventory, and our assets.

Part of an effort to monitor and improve hand hygiene with acompliance monitoring program, I observed employees and gathereddata, entering the results into a hospital database and analyzing theinformation. Using these results, I recommended interventionmethods and initiatives, and presented them to senior staff, resultingin lower infection rates.

This role was part of my bachelor’s degree in Applied BehaviorAnalysis and Psychology, where I was assigned to study the safetyculture of a real-world company, analyze my findings, and suggestimprovements to the company heads.
