InfraLife aims to maximise the benefits of Sweden’s large scale research infrastructures (MAX IV, ESS and SciLifeLab) within Life Sciences.As Project Coordinator, my tasks encompass:-Connecting those between and to the infrastructures.-Organising Exchange Dialogues, webinars, case studies and presentations to showcase the capabilities to academic, healthcare and industrial users.-Communication material in the form of a dedicated LinkedIn page, newsletter content, reports and posters.

I used induced pluripotent stem cells to produce beta like cells to investigate what occurs in the beta cells within type 2 diabetes. I was especially interested in the role of melatonin in islet dysfunction in diabetes.-Culturing IPS cells to beta cells-Isolating primary islet cells-Glucose induced secretion assays and associated ELISAs-Visiopharm analysis on pancreatic samples to assess islet function-Manuscript writing

The Diabetes Programme at Lund University is an academic network within the Lund University Diabetes Centre which focuses on organising and strengthening diabetes research especially amongst the younger researchers (PhDs, postdocs and those without a permanent position).I was involved in reinstating the Postdoc Network of DPLU in 2019, when I was Vice Chair of the Postdoc Network and then took on the role of Chair of the Postdoc Network. -Complied lists of all current young researchers with LUDC-Organised Half Day Seminars, Methodology days and Young Researcher Days-Wrote aspects of the LUDC webpage-Promoted the LUDC mentors -Chaired discussion sessions between the young researchers and scientific advisory boards

My research project sought to investigate the role of apolipoprotein on islet biology. The aim of the Future Faculty at Lund University is to improve the conditions for young and future researchers at the Faculty of Medicine and to promote development of a career system at all levels. Being a Steering Board member involved regular board meetings, task force meetings, organising events and promoting Future Faculty.As Chair of the National Junior Faculty (2020-2021), I was involved in organising parts of the National Junior Faculty (NJF) Conference on the Sustainable Development of Future Academia in Sweden. I have participated in NJF virtual workshops on Research Culture, both as a presenter and a moderator and was involved in follow up dissemination of our findings from this.As Chair of Careers Task Force (2019-2020), I organised a webinar panel debate on Teaching at the Faculty, a 1-day workshop 'Storytelling for Researchers', an information and panel debate about Vetenskapsrådet and the VR Grant Support Programme (Swedish Research Council) in conjunction with Careers Centre at the Medical Faculty and an information session from the Academic Appointment Board at LU.
