As a student in elementary school, I tended to finish my work early. In all honesty, it was because all I wanted to be doing was working on my own research projects; ranging from designing a hoverboard to starting a school paper. To me, education was something that engaged you deeply with the world, it couldn't be limited to a desk.I've carried this attitude with me throughout my education. Today I weave together everything I've learned from the variety of courses I've taken at Fordham into a comprehensive worldview that allows me to tackle complex problems from new angles. I exemplify this thinking in articles I've written for the Fordham Political Review; the articles focus on analyzing major societal issues through different lenses. This theme of deconstruction for a better reconstruction has guided me throughout my professional choices as well. It's led me to positions such as Conflict Mediation Intern with the Better Business Bureau or as a Research Assistant on the Moral Up! Project. I enjoy work that allows me to add value through my creative thinking and problem solving.
