I was seconded from MWH into the 4Delivery joint venture (Veolia, Costain and MWH) as a Senior Process Scientist/Senior Process Design Engineer to design and help commission multiple schemes, utilising different treatment processes on sites within the UK for Southern Water's AMP4, PR09 and AMP5 wastewater program. The role involved analysing scheme requirements based on project drivers, current site performance and assets, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with mechanical, electrical and civil engineers to prepare designs for a suitable upgrade to the site. I then helped to support site teams during construction in terms of maintaining final effluent compliance during construction, assisting the commissioning teams, to help bring the new facilities on-line and achieve the necessary client specification requirements for Takeover. *Scoping, Outline Design, Detailed Design. Duties involved capturing and collating asset and performance data, process design to meet new quality standards on existing treatment facilities. *Writing combined Commissioning and Compliance Plans, Control Philosophies and input in to HAZOP and ALMs.*Responsible for assisting Process Commissioning, monitoring final effluent compliance, operating plants through Takeover tests and providing process expertise for defect rectification. *Close co-operation with clients, contractors and suppliers required. [4D was created to deliver a significant part of the capital works programme for Southern Water under the regulatory AMP4 (Asset Management Plan 2005-2010). This was extended to 2015].
