I am an experienced leader, manager, and consultant with over 16 years of experience working in Continuous Improvement.I have built my career in various roles within Higher Education (University of Winchester). I have a BA Honours Degree and a Master's. I am also an accredited international EFQM (Excellence Framework of Quality Management) Assessor for Business Excellence and a (LCS) accredited Lean Black Belt. My strengths and interests lie in leadership, strategic management, business excellence and continuous improvement. I am also a module leader and lecturer on Project Management and Change Management. I have led many large-scale projects, for example, implementing a CRM system and implementing BREAM on a multi-million Learning and Teaching Building. As part of my current role, I am a paid consultant to businesses, directing strategy implementation, EFQM, and Continuous Improvement (Finance Sector, Highways, Industry, HE, Charity). In addition to being a charismatic and pragmatic leader, I am also an enterprising and strategic thinker with a commercial eye and exceptional financial acumen. As Head of Continuous Improvement at the University of Winchester (CIU), I lead the Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement Strategy. Consequently, this has resulted in raising Winchester's reputation by winning the UK British Quality Foundation Excellence Award in 2016 and international recognition with the University Winning the EFQM Global Customer Service Award in October 2019, increasing Winchester's score from 300 Points to over 700 points. As part of this role, I have previously led a review of strategy deployment, which resulted in a consultation process with Deans and Directors around Annual Operating Statements and collaborative working for strategic KPIs. I am also responsible for the University Document Store for all policies and strategies and have developed an automated approach for policy and strategy management with IT.
