Cluster Leaders have higher level responsibility than a Teacher for curriculum, assessment, moderation, enrichment, data gathering, nurture/behaviour, parental matters (supporting the Family Adviser), day to day staff team management. Cluster Leaders report to (and deputise for as appropriate) the relevant Assistant Headteachers who retain overall responsibility for Teacher performance and student progress in liaison with the Cluster Leaders. The Cluster Leaders are the first point of contact for other Teachers in the department and deal with the majority of minor operational matters.
