Ambulance Care Attendant - Patient Care / A&E Support

I directly manage a team of approximately 70. My role is to engage with my colleagues to drive the business goals forward through good communication and leadership. I am a coach to my colleagues in all matters whether that's technical skills or behavioural. I train all my colleagues on health & safety, food safety, environmental health and great customer service. I execute all HR functions such as payroll, holiday & rota planning, managing absence and performance management. I manage my own recruitment process from business case right through to induction. My role involves managing several relationships with 3rd parties such as FM, security, engineers, waste management and local authorities. I am responsible for a budget of £140k per year to manage store controlled costs on the P&L.

Responsibilities in present role:I directly manage a team of 2 team leaders and 14 colleagues in both Commercial & Petrol. On a weekly basis I can be responsible for up to 40-50 colleagues running a retail store environment. I oversee the profit and loss account and I am part of a team managing the store controlled costs that directly affect the store's profitability. I am directly responsible for all third party groups who are affiliated with the store environment. In Petrol I ensure the colleagues comply with all health & safety procedures & trading standards law. I am a leader and coach to my colleagues, I am an expert on store processes and I have a high-level of analytical skills.I execute HR Practices such as recruitment, training, department scheduling, holiday planning and absence management.

As a Fresh foods Manager I worked on a department delivering sales of £150k a week. I was chosen to be part of a team to open a new store and here I managed a team of 30 across Fresh Foods, Produce and all open fresh food counters. I implemented and maintained company food safety, health and safety, and delivered the highest level of customer service.During this period I was nominated for the best Sainsbury's Fresh Foods department in Northern Ireland for consistently delivering region leading results.

During my time as a store trainer I was involved with recruiting and selecting new colleagues.My role was to induct new colleagues and ensure that each one had a training plan.On a regular basis I carried out a training needs analysis and supported department managers in delivering this training.I delivered food safety, health and safety and department specific training. My proudest moment was designing a training tracker that was taken by an internal auditor and rolled out across several stores.
