The Wilderness Society is a community-based, not-for-profit, non-government environmental advocacy organisation.Reporting to the National Organising Manager, I developed, implemented, reviewed and evaluated strategic and operational plans across the national and State-based Community Organising Program to achieve improved nature protection and action on climate change, with a focus on key campaigns addressing deforestation and new nature laws. I managed a team comprised of a Perth-based Organiser, 3 Community Groups and >15 project-based Volunteers, and coordinated and led Organising staff nation-wide. Key to my success in this role was building strong internal and external relationships, and the ability to work collaboratively with national departments in order to meet needs and deliver positive outcomes. Highlights: Conducted extensive research of State-based campaigns, and compiled persuasive appeals, submissions and reports.  Established and led 3 new Community Groups, and provided training and ongoing support. Assisted fellow Perth Organiser in the establishment of 2 additional teams.  Managed national phone banks during the 2019 Federal election campaign. Implemented systems and software; coordinated, led and trained staff; and oversaw volunteers across campaign centres in 6 States with 28,000 phone calls made across 550 volunteer shifts.

No Fracking WAy is a community group working towards a ban on fracking and unconventional gas extraction in Western Australia.I co-founded and led this community campaign group with 8 Volunteers, which was affiliated with the national coalition Lock the Gate Alliance, and worked alongside other organisations including the Conservation Council of WA, the Wilderness Society, 350.org and Environs Kimberley.My contributions spanned strategy, planning, organisation and logistics, media liaison, as well as volunteer recruitment and communications to meet campaign outcomes. I coordinated and facilitated events, forums, workshops and training in urban and rural areas.Highlights: United a collection of segregated groups and organisations working independently on the cause, to become a well-connected State-wide campaign, that drove the issue to the forefront of the 2017 State election, gaining WA Labor commitments including regional bans and a State-wide moratorium. Managed the No Fracking WAy website, database and Facebook group, building a supporter base of 3000 members.
