Hello, I'm Claire, a clinical hypnotherapist. I specialise in working with anxiety and phobias, especially with teenagers and young people, including those with SEN diagnoses such as ASD and ADHD.Additionally, as a fully qualified, accredited and practising pharmacist with 30 years experience within the NHS, I am uniquely placed to help those wanting to become less dependent on medication and drugs, whether prescribed or recreational, regaining control of their own health and well-being. I love what I do so much that I trained to be a senior lecturer for the prestigious Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) and lecture at their schools in Essex, Kent & Hertfordshire, teaching others to become qualified hypnotherapists.I am passionate about supporting the students while they are training and am working toward my accreditation as a supervisor for other therapists.I have also written and deliver CPD courses in neuroscience and psychoneuroimmunology for CPHT and am the Module Manager for the neuroscience element of the high level Advanced Hypnotherapy Diploma. Senior LecturerClifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (Cpht) Sep 2019 - PresentEssex, Kent And HertfordshireClifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training (CPHT) is one of the oldest and most highly respected hypnotherapy training schools in the UK, offering the gold standard in practical training in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Solution focused hypnotherapy is a modern, evidence-based psychotherapy with roots in solution focused brief therapy and is backed by neuroscience research. It fuses elements of therapies such as CBT and NLP with modern coaching techniques and the use of hypnosis (trance) in sessions allows rapid, long lasting positive change. During the 10 month long course, students are taught a fundamental understanding of how the brain works, and how to explain this information to clients in a simple, effective way. They work with clients from the very first weekend, gaining experience and competence in many areas of therapy and gradually building a functioning, thriving practice by the time they qualify. As a lecturer, my role is to ensure they have a full understanding of the concepts that underpin solution focused hypnotherapy and the knowledge to implement its techniques in working with pain, weight management, phobias and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, OCD and PTSD. My background as a pharmacist in the traditional healthcare setting of the NHS is ideally suited to bridging the gap between hypnotherapy and medicine as well as instilling in students the ability to explain how we work in a way that is accessible to both healthcare providers and private patients.
