Carbon Yield helps farmers get the resources they need to transition to regenerative agriculture and get compensated for the environmental benefits they create.

Through this position, created to fulfill a need I identified, I advanced Catholic Charities' ability to pursue strategic, data-driven decision making and effectively tell the story of our important impact. Primarily, I managed the implementation of a new data systems, research and visualize our impact, create maps, and report the more accurate reflection of Catholic Charities on clients' lives.

• Direct, compose, edit, and submit all aspects of government grants proposals.• Submit over 100 city, state, and federal grants annually with a high success rate.• Successfully funded over $30 million in new programs for the agency.• Develop program ideas and language for new opportunities and grant expansions.• Research, condense, and summarize community need and demographic information.• Track program statistics and information to write government grants.• Identified a need for a comprehensive system to track program data and generate reports. • Employ SQL Management Studio to create a database with geographic reporting capabilities.• Collect and synthesize complex program data from 150 programs into single reportable page.• Conduct visits with local, state, and federal officials on benefits of agency programming.• Write and distribute Advocacy Alerts to partners on pertinent policy and funding legislation.• Strategize, plan, and attend annual advocacy trip to the State Capitol with 40+ staff and board members.• Coordinate departmental administration tasks, including invoices, check requests, and the office calendar.• Manage department volunteers and interns on a variety of projects both data and writing related.

Responsible for all development efforts for the organization, primarily focusing on grants writing. Prospected, contacted, and connected with foundations and corporations prior to submitting official requests. Successfully completed two grants per week while maintaining the other functions of the position.Managed the volunteer and intern program, including overseeing two social work practicum students.Completed domestic violence counseling 40 hour certification. Executive Director December 2010-Current• Overseeing and facilitating the four boards and a team of directors 31 student leaders in total for a year long fundraiser.• Responsible for the 12 hour event for over a 1000 people and raised over$170,000.00 for Children’s Miracle Network of Greater St. Louis.• Provided professionalism and leadership development for the board.Corporate Relations December 2009-December 2010• Contacting and obtaining sponsorship from large outside corporationsfor in-kind donations and fiscal sponsorship. • Secured donated food for 1,000 people and other catering opportunities.

• Assisted with 25th Anniversary event preparation and follow-up, ultimately raising $200,000.00.• Organized and completed grant writing for foundations across the U.S. for a compiled $400,000.00.• Ran membership recruitment and renewal resulting in 140 new member organizations.
