• Conduct experiments on multiple projects to provide data contributing to research and development decisions and to determine lead compounds from novel cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors• Evaluate small molecule inhibitors for efficacy and potency via multi-color flow cytometry (FACSCelesta) assessing cell cycle analysis and dose-response assays determining cell health• Characterize inhibitors and therapeutic targets via western blotting analyzing cell signaling• Plan and manage external studies with vendors and CROs for the following: • in vitro screening of qualities of compounds such as binding, permeability, and stability • in vivo mouse pharmacokinetic and xenograft studies evaluating safety, PK, and efficacy of the compounds, including in-house post study analysis of blood samples for CBCs• Use programming and bioinformatics to analyze preclinical data from RNAseq experiments and kinome screening, data mine from online databases, and create data visualizations such as heatmaps• Train new staff on flow cytometer and other lab equipment and routine assays used in the lab• Assist in writing and review of documents such as SOP’s, poster publications, and regulatory documents• Handle ordering of all lab supplies, assist in equipment calibrations and maintenance, implement and oversee lab equipment monitoring system, and outfit new lab with appropriate equipment

• Analyzed proteomic data from breast cancer cell lines using regression correlation methods to identify potential functions and roles in cell signaling and disease for over 80 protein kinases• Investigated PCA results as method of selecting effective kinase inhibitor combinations through dose-response and cell viability assays evaluating synergy• Created analysis program for fluorescence microscopy images to quantify aspects such as cell count, size, and shape from fluorescently labeled cell cultures
