Working as a Lab and Education Assistant, I helped coordinate and plan outreach events among other responsibilities such as fossil preparation, leading tours of the museum and outdoor tours of our fossil collection site. Working in collaboration with the UNB Outreach team, I run the UNB Earth Science Department Social Media pages. Working to educate and excite current and prospective students of UNB about the amazing world of Geology. During weekly meetings I discuss and delegate tasks to a small group of outreach ambassadors. After receiving weekly updates on Outreach Events I assemble posts for social media pages, as well as plan future social media projects such as interviews within the Earth Science Department that highlight careers in Earth Sciences. As the Social Media Coordinator I ensure high quality information is being shared across our platforms. Working with a team of Outreach Ambassadors we delivered Outreach programs around the greater Fredericton area to local Middle and High Schools. We worked to provide in person demonstrations on the many aspects of Earth Sciences, such as mining and hydrogeology. As outreach ambassadors we also participated in local career fairs and community events in hopes that we inspire the next generation of geologists. While working with the team I helped plan many community and outreach events, as well as working independently on planning social media posts for the outreach team. During my time with the team I ran the UNB Earth Science Departments Social Media pages and executed many new ideas for the pages such as Global and Local Geological News, Career Spotlights within the geo-world, and Geology in the Field posts. My goal was to show current and prospective UNB students the many different Careers you can have in the Geological world. I worked with a team of shore crew that helped deliver the past and current history of the bluenose I & II, as well as catching lines for the boat, booking people for harbour tours, and maintaining the company store. I gained experience in:-Providing excellent customer service-Boarding and docking procedures associated with the Bluenose II such as ticket sales, assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, throwing and catching lines. -Promotion of the Bluenose II and Lunenburg-Proficiency in Point Of Sales system-Communication skills-Organisation and attention to detail

I worked with a small team of people that worked to deliver a fun and safe environment for kids aged 3-12.
