Claire Vallely (she/her) is a second-year student at Oberlin College pursuing a major in both French and Psychology and a minor in Anthropology. She grew up in Trumansburg, New York and is a member of the varsity soccer team at Oberlin. She currently works as a notetaker for the Office of Student Accessibility Services and has other experience working with children and in the field of customer service.Claire has studied the French language for many years, including multiple trips to Québec City in order to practice speaking with fluent natives in the area. Claire is currently unsure of the particular field of Psychology she wishes to pursue, but has taken many classes in various fields in hopes of ironing that out. Claire's father is a professor of Anthropology at a local university, which provided her with various occasions to engage in archaeological digs and other educational opportunities. Outside of her immediate institutional requirements, Claire has an extensive background in musical performance.Following her expected graduation in the spring of 2024, Claire hopes to attend a graduate school in order to further her education in associated fields and become better prepared for the workforce. Throughout her career, Claire hopes to travel the world to create new social relationships and further improve her French-speaking abilities.
