Retail manager responsible for leading all aspects of a busy showroom. Making sure the showroom maximises sales whilst optimising profits and surpassing set kpi. Conducting recruitment, Training and coaching the current team, and also new team members for other showrooms to a high level. Alongside this being a senior subject matter expert assisting other showrooms to enable tasks to be completed successfully. Contributing towards creating new company procedures and policies.

My responsibilities included;Improving the store from a negative figure based on previous figures, into achieving an increase.Thorough training and coaching of all staff members to improve key areas of customer service, administration, store merchandising/house keeping, kpi's, sofas to size and increased sales.Organising a vip event for existing customer database, to encourage an ongoing special relationship for return custom and increased sales.Attending company meetings to assist with marketing and product development.

Initially my role was to improve the store to a better standard in many areas. These included;Building a successful team of staff through training, coaching and further recruitment.Improving and maintaining a high level of customer care, including going that extra mile as needed.Putting the housekeeping and merchandising back to high priority, and achieving in the set time limits.Achieving set monetary goals and kpi's from head office to keep on or above targets.Once these areas had been addressed, I built a very strong team who aided me in putting the store on the map. During this time we also closed one store, and re-opened in a new location in the Lakeside shopping centre. In the new location we continually improved upon previous year figures and achieved many of the far higher new targets to access bonus'for the team.I also became responsible for training new store managers throughout my time here. This involved thorough training on all aspects of my role for a minimum of a four week period.
