Concept Store Manager for the award winning British luxury Chocolate brand, Hotel Chocolat.Prior to Hotel Chocolat, I had been contacted and offered the position as a duel sited Store Manager for Cotton Traders. My stores were Cardiff and in Bridgend. During my short time with the company I introduced personnel files for all the team and set up a full retraining plan consisting of manual handling, health and safety and fire evacuation. This was due to no SWP or health and safety being followed in either of the stores.Before being approached by the Area Manager of Cotton Traders, I was a Store Manager for the Pavers company, I took control of a store that was massively problematic, it was dirty, under performing and underachieving. Moral was low and there was an extremely high turnover of staff.This was turned around within 6 months of my arrival. I am extremely proud of the hard work that was put into this store. To the day of my leaving, the store is highly profitable and well organised with an efficient and happy sales team. My previous position to Pavers was a Store Manager within the clothing company Bonmarche, where I also for a period of time duel managed two of their Cardiff stores.I lifted this store from an E to a C grade and doubled the profits within my first year of running the store.The store now brings in triple the sales that it did before I started as the Store Manager.I cut theft by 80% by introducing a security tagging system and implementing strict manning of the fitting rooms at all times. I used active customer service to deter theft and to also improve sales and hit targets. Regular recovery of the shop floor, along with stock knowledge is essential for profit and loss management. I am a highly motivated individual, I enjoy working within a team but I am equally as confident working alone.
