Volunteering is one of my interests since when I was in grade school, when I was in high school every Tuesday my routine was to volunteer. I thought getting the required community hours would be enough for me to stop volunteering but when I try to experience and learned new stuff, it really hooked me in to continue volunteering. The experience on how to connect with other people and to be part with the community is what I really enjoyed about volunteering. Indeed, helping and learning must be my passion. When I took co-op in high-school, I got a chance to be an assistant of a Recreation Aide and my role was to help to organize and facilitate the activity. The residents were so funny and easy to get along with. I remember when my Supervisor told me that I should take Recreation and Leisure Services as she sees that I’m so interested and engage on how to make leisure activity. It makes me think that it is a good sign for me to follow my interest. This interest carried me through my education at Humber College. There were more interesting lessons and resources about recreations as I was expecting it to be. As of now I’m in my second year of my course and halfway to finish it. I hope I could get a chance to be a recreation coordinator for my internship so that I could learn to work in different recreation facility. When I was in Grade 12, I started a part time job at McDonald’s as a Crew and got promoted as a Crew Trainer after a year. I love multitasking myself when it comes to taking order and making it, I like to make sure that everything on the floor was organized and tidy up, I could encounter with the guest complains or even feedbacks and comments but dealing with the guest could be challenging but that’s what I like it about. As I worked at the most busiest fast food restaurant in the world, I learned a lot of new stuffs especially when it comes to customer service. I enjoy working with people that I can apply my knowledge about customer service or just simply volunteering that I can provide help as long as I could. I would love to get in touch!
