Member of the Executive Management Board of Siemens plc, reporting directly to the CEO and leading a team of communications and government affairs professionals across the UK and Ireland, managing a £10m budget and delivering communications and complex stakeholder management in sectors including energy, transport, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services.- Led an external communications and government engagement strategy that transformed perceptions of Siemens UK from being below the radar of most opinion leaders to being a key player in UK industry and a go-to company for government and media when looking for industry expertise. In annual opinion leader research, Siemens achieved higher familiarity and favourability scores than its global industrial peers- Led a long-term stakeholder engagement campaign to defend Siemens winning preferred bidder status for the Thameslink rolling stock contract in the face of a sustained parliamentary and media offensive in favour of a competitor- Consistently maintained employee engagement scores in the Siemens UK Communications team at more than 90% positive, despite several major restructures reducing the headcount by 50% between 2008 and 2017- Restructured the Siemens UK Communications function, consolidating a disparate group of 70 people in the business divisions into one central team, reducing complexity, creating synergies and achieving a 30% reduction in costs and headcount- Reduced the cost of the annual Siemens UK leadership forum by personally moderating the two day event rather than hiring professional moderators, achieving consistently high scores in delegate feedback.
