In my role as the Provost's Faculty Fellow and the Academic Affairs Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advocate, I am responsible for working in the Provost's Office and leading DEI strategies within Academic Affairs. During the upcoming academic year, my priority will be to coordinate the Provost Office’s support of the implantation of DEI as an essential competency in the TCU Core Curriculum, as approved by the TCU faculty in March 2019. In addition to this work, my responsibilities will also include prioritizing, implementing and monitoring diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and outcomes in alignment with the Vision in Action: Lead On strategic plan.

Teach undergraduate courses in Modern European history, including the entry-level survey and upper-level courses in nineteenth and twentieth-century European history. Taught Honors Colloquia for students of the John V. Roach Honors College who pursued University Honors. Worked one on one with student to coach students working to improve their writing skills. Past Director of Undergraduate Studies, and academic advisor for History majors. Participate in the College 101 mentoring program for first-year students who are struggling academically.Guide students as they prepare to enter the job market, and begin their professional careers. Summer Orientation Academic Advisor for incoming first-year students. Was a member of the Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) Executive Committee. This committee is a part of the CRES administrative and governance structure. It was responsible for working the Director and Assistant Director of CRES. CRES has since evolved into a full-fledged academic department.Was a member of the Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies (CRES) Working Committee. The CRES initiative was the result of student activism at TCU. The Working Committee, together with faculty from across campus and every college, completed the process of creating the CRES program in November 2016. The CRES program offers an undergraduate major, minor and emphasis, and a graduate certificate. The long-term goal is to continue developing CRES in to a an academic department, and finally a center. Served on the Humanities, Mission, Vison, and Values (HMVV) committee to approve courses submitted by faculty for the HMVV component of the TCU Core Curriculum.Co-Academic Advisor for TRIOTA the Women's Studies Honor Society, Spring 2016 to 2019.Member of the Allies Steering Committee, Spring 2017Mentor, Pillars of Purple, Spring 2017
