As part of the Human Resource Development Directorate at Heriot-Watt, the Professional & Organisational Development (POD) team are responsible for providing professional and leadership development across the University as well as supporting a number of University wide initiatives. As POD Consultant my responsibilities include: Design, delivery, evaluation and review of management development interventions such as Effective Conversations Leading Change, the Role of a Manager and Performance & Development ReviewDevelopment of an induction programme for people managers and improvement of local induction guidance and support Conducting needs analysis meetings with Directors of Service to design bespoke team interventions across the UniversityLeading on and supporting Organisational wide projects such implementing Hybrid Working, reviewing the performance and review process and developing and implementing initiatives to further embed University values Supporting the facilitation of senior leadership groups focused on the delivery of our strategyLeading on the coaching service for staff at the University, facilitating quarterly CPD events for our coaches and providing 1-1 coaching for colleagues across our global community. In addition I am a member of the University's Coaching Lab which brings together all coaching related teaching, research and pratice across our global community

As part of the Human Resource Development Directorate at Heriot-Watt, the Organisational Development team are responsible for providing professional and leadership development across the University. My role includes leading the induction sessions for new members of staff along with senior staff members at the University. I am also a qualified coach, I co-ordinate training courses and collaborate with external facilitators, I manage the team's budget, I am involved in the co-ordination of development events, I ensure all materials remain up to date and collaborate with and support my team to deliver specific projects.
