In this role, I led teams of consultants to support clients within the Centers for Disease Control. I supported the development of a business case for a large scale neurological condition surveillance system. This work required extensive scenario modeling as well as business process and resource allocation planning. I also supported the establishment of an initiative to strengthen interconnections between clinical, public health, and CDC laboratory education and training professionals to collectively support rapid, large-scale responses. Guidehouse's support to-date has helped garner a membership of over 2,400 laboratory professionals which enabled us to conduct a robust and representative assessment related to COVID-19 laboratory training needs.

In this role, I supported clients within the Centers for Disease Control in optimizing their operations, eliminating inefficiencies, and determining strategic direction. I supported the Center for Preparedness and Response by performing a strategic assessment of the Center's IT resources, processes, and governance in coordination with the Guidehouse IT Strategy group. I also conducted a detailed assessment of process improvement opportunities within the Training and Workforce Development Branch in the Division of Laboratory Systems, delivering actionable recommendations for change and redefining the workflow processes within the branch. These changes are currently being implemented to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and staff experience.

In this role, I delivered impact to clients across a variety of industries: logistics (a warehousing company, a package delivery company), healthcare (an academic medical center and a community hospital system, the McKinsey Healthcare Reform Center), basic materials (metals manufacturer), and advanced industries (power tool manufacturer). My functional areas focused on digital strategy and solutions, procurement, organizational design, merger and acquisition planning, and blue-sky partnership strategy. I actively co-created solutions with client leadership. I developed solutions to draw meaningful insights from complex data and to navigate through resistance and roadblocks.

In this role I analyzed strategic options for internal clients across multiple Special Business Units, acting as an internal consultant. I recommended approaches based on competitor, market, and financial analyses and extensive qualitative analysis including stakeholder interviews. I presented findings directly to department leadership and actively incorporated their feedback into the iterations of our recommendation.

As an instructor for young adults and professionals, I taught academic English as a Foreign Language to Omani and Saudi Arabian students. I utilized innovative classroom practices to achieve high levels of student success in terms of college-readiness.

As part of an Omani start-up, I headed department efforts to develop, market, and coordinate soft-skills training programs in English. I greatly expanded our client base and jump-started profits for the department. I successfully advanced English for Specific Purposes programs for police, army and banking sectors as well as managed three full time employees in administration, graphic design and marketing.

As an employee of an American study-abroad company based in Oman, I developed and implemented cultural and educational programming, including guest speakers, curriculum, discussion sections, and in-country excursions for American study-abroad students. I expanded the Arabic as a Foreign Language program thereby increasing in-country revenue and performed community outreach and marketing, growing student body by approximately 50%. I also refined the Center's growing programs such as its college preparatory offerings.

As a Fulbright Grant recipient, I was sponsored by the U.S. State Department to live and study in Oman for 10 months. I independently taught Intermediate-level English as a Foreign Language classes focused on technical vocabulary, integrated skill sets, and project and teamwork management at an Engineering college. I also ran and supervised the International Student Association in the role of Staff Liaison, resulting in school-wide cross cultural celebration and public recognition by the US Embassy.
