Anam Ceoil creates individualised music programs for any special occasion - weddings, funerals, christenings, naming ceremonies. Combinations offered are voice, piano, low whistle, violin, cello, harp and gospel choir. Styles offered are traditional, Celtic, classical, popular, jazz, gospel and improvised.

This is a collaborative performance project with French chanson singer Caroline Moreau, actor and writer Nicole Rourke, and myself on piano and voice. A wild mix of music, spoken word and ivory tinkling, this is a show not to be missed.

Therapeutic Music Facilitation using the voice as a tool to encourage self-expression and self-confidence, to strengthen communities, and to make music accessible to everyone. I offer one-to-one tuition and group workshops.

I ran my own business in music education, catering for both individuals and group tuition. Classes offered range from classical piano, improvisation, song-writing, gospel music, popular music arranging, band workshops, voice workshops, and work on expression and authenticity as a musician. This service now operates through SpeakUp SingOut Music School.

I was choral director and choral conductor for the Irish premiere of 'Madison's Descent, a piece for choir and orchestra by the Irish composer, Micheál Ó Súileabháin.

We ran weekly sessions with children aged 5-8 years using singing as a therapeutic tool for self-expression and emotional education in addition to pre-instrumental music training, giving them a grounding in the building blocks of music. The children will go on to learn instruments in the coming year.

I worked on this 2 year program as part of a team of facilitators under Chloe Goodchild, the founder of the Naked Voice, which aimed to change the resonance of city through singing.

I was a member of the Maynooth Professional Gospel Choir as a singer, pianist and arranger.
