With over thirty years of experience in the early childhood environment, I have come to incorporate in my approach elements of childhood care philosophies such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and High Scope. Observing the behaviours of children who are placed in group settings at a very early age has allowed me to create a program for children based on empathy and awareness of their environment. This unique program " A Rainbow Within Your Heart" has proven to make a difference in the social skills of children as young as three.I participated in a research done by the Education Department at Montreal University on Aggression and Children. The rights to this study were acquired by Dr. David Suzuki and the lessons learned have since been integrated in Early Childhood Education curriculums. Sensitive to children with special needs, I have had much success working with them and enabling them to integrate into regular mainstream classes in pre-school.
