Demand Planner
Current- Generate and maintain forecasts for a large profile of partner brands, encompassing a wide variety of product categories and sectors within the beauty industry. - Use data analytics to justify inventory forecasts and defend these forecasts to internal and external stakeholders. - Update forecasts on a rolling basis to accommodate for promotions, market factors, and SKU status changes or discontinuations. - Use data analytics and industry knowledge to provide input to internal sources for effective decision making on whether to bring in proposed new products, when to release new products, and whether to invest in marketing features like end caps.- Partner with supply chain to ensure effective and efficient inventory purchasing and distribution, including correct timing of purchases for occasions such as promotions. - Understand and apply forecasting models, and know the factors that influence different model types and their accuracy ratings. - Understand how to find and manipulate large data sets and interpret insights gleaned from data sets. - Know how to utilize different data sources and data representation methods such as Power BI and Microsoft Excel Data Cubes to generate the data sets relevant to assigned products. - Continually learn about the newest industry trends and data analytics methods and apply those innovations to my work. - Collaborate with internal and external teams to advance company goals for both parties and be an effective advocate for the company directives via the forecasts and insights generated from my day to day work. - Work as part of my company’s DE&I team to create diversity initiatives and education for our entire building.
