Inspired to be a positive force for change, I am a proven social impact professional and values-driven leader. My diverse experience allows me to cross pollinate ideas and ways of knowing to deliver results that amplify impact. I have a strong growth mindset and believe that cultivating a sense of belonging brings out the best in your team. Inspiring people forward is my superpower and I excel at communication, partnership development, fundraising and strategic planning. In 2015 I co-founded Foundations for Social Change (FSC), a charitable organization whose mission is to advance social change through evidence-based research and innovation. As the CEO, I was the driving force behind the New Leaf Project, North America’s first direct-giving pilot with people experiencing homelessness. Inspired by a TED talk, we took an emergent idea - to empower people living in poverty with unconditional cash transfers - and translated it into action by growing a successful organization that made an impact on the global stage. I am dedicated to cultivating compassionate communities and advancing new models of leadership. In 2021 I was named one of the Top 25 Women of Influence™, an award that recognizes the extraordinary accomplishments of Canada’s diverse women role models. In 2020, I was placed on the 21 Founders to Watch list prepared by “The Future of Good” – Canada’s leading digital publication covering the world of social impact.
