In February 2016, I was lucky enough to be appointed Office Manager at France Media Group. Overseeing the day-to-day running of a busy and vibrant office, the accounts and working with the Media Consultancy Team on payment processes and booking procedures. Being involved in all areas of the company from organising seminars and Chateau trips to overseeing Risk assessments and designing our fabulous office! As the first point of contact in the office, I enjoy finding solutions, developing ideas, and seeing all the finished results! I am very grateful to be part of such a talented team and Business.6 years on, and I am thrilled to be the new Publishing & HR Manager at France Media Group. I will be able to build on the skills and knowledge I have gained as the Office Manger.Past Experience At university I studied social sciences and took a keen interest in social research, philosophy and psychology. During my degree, I gained a good understanding of both people and society. This, I believe, has made me an exceptional communicator that can objectively see all points of view. For almost 10 years I worked for TER - The National Plant & Equipment Register. Working for a small but busy office developed my organisational skills and taught me to think and act quickly. I have taken away many useful skills from this company: I have a vast knowledge of plant and equipment serial number formats, know most theft and fraud scenarios (although new ones will always arise) I have an exceptional knowledge of this industry from the owners to the insurance workings and have come away with a true love for plant & equipment and this industry.As a small company it was all hands on deck. I was fortunate enough to oversee a number of projects from moving the due diligence checking service to web based, to implementing a valuations service. I set up e-Newsletters and organised shows from start to finish which I thoroughly enjoyed. After taking voluntary redundancy I set up Ignite Business Support which offered administrative support to small companies. Additionally I retained my previous employer and presented it's plant and machinery valuation database to clients and ran training sessions on the system. I

Back in 2004 I started off as the office manager in this small but very busy company. Daily I assisted the police, insurers, auctions, manufacturers and the general public with any queries on potential stolen or recovered items of plant machinery. I oversaw cases from the point of identification to the return of funds or the item to the true owner. Additionally I looked after the accounts, organised publications and was responsible for general running of the office. Over time the company and my role developed. I helped make our paper checking service an online service and managed a new venture with a European company to produce a valuations services for the UK. I wrote the companies e-Newsletters and organised stands at the Lamma and Hillhead shows. I took voluntary redundancy due to the office relocation.
