I took on this exciting role with a view of starting up a new studio and helping the Creative Manager build the image of the Party Delights brand. Since then, as a team, we have gone from strength to strength and the studio has grown into a beautiful highly-functioning space.Being a photographer at Party Delights is a job with party at its heart and fun in every day!

Initially working on a freelance basis and then as a contracted employee for one of the UK’s largest direct mail order businesses, I have obtained knowledge of the workings of a publication both print and online. Within a busy studio environment, I work to deadlines and push to produce a visual outcome of quality. I began my work with Express Gifts photographing products for internet and assisting on fashion shoots. I have since progressed to shooting e-commerce modelled fashion and recently shooting more complex fashion imagery for catalogue. I have also been an important part in pushing forward the company in terms of e-comm improvements, attending meetings with management and championing new procedures within the department.

Following my graduation, I freelanced as a photographer with a number of clients. Jobs included event, property and product photography. I found that marketing myself as a freelancer and relying largely on word of mouth excelled my communication and interpersonal skills.

As well as assisting Fashion Photographer Carlos on shoots I helped to promote his work and the Lumiere London studio via social media, communicated with clients and agencies on a daily basis, cared for models on go-sees and shoots, assisted in the post-production and retouching of images, and attended press days and PR events.
