Travelled to Kandahar, Karachi, Peshawar and Bihar to investigate and report on the innovations – political, technological and management - that have allowed polio to spearhead access in areas off-limits to other humanitarian initiatives. Conducted interviews with a wide range of actors, including those brokering access with non-state groups.

Organized and led Kosovo's contribution to the global debate on a Post-Millennium Agenda, on behalf of the United Nations Kosovo Team. Designed and coordinated an innovative consultation process, bridging ethnic and socio-economic divides, engaging Kosovo's leadership and investing in social media. Kosovo's process and final report were used as examples by other participating countries.

•Produced the UN’s first consolidated five-year strategy for human development and peace consolidation in Kosovo – coordinating the views and input of UN agencies and partners, advising on the reorganisation of operating structures and developing an associated advocacy strategy;

•Assisted the UN's Head of Mission and Deputy Head of Mission in Iraq to carry out the most complex UN mission in history, providing advice and support to their work with government, partners and internal coordination.Initiated and coordinated a mission-wide strategy to integrate the UN’s political and humanitarian/development operations for the first time in Iraq, on behalf of the SRSG.

•Designed and managed a national and international advocacy strategy for Iraqi children during and following the 2006 humanitarian crisis;•Developed and led a global fundraising strategy to increase UNICEF’s emergency revenues for Iraq (which rose from $2 million in 2007 to over $30 million in 2008);•Represented UNICEF Iraq to international governments, including the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs;•Acted as Spokesperson for UNICEF Iraq;

Designed and implemented a social communication strategy for Myanmar’s largest ever mass immunization campaign targeting 9 million children.
