I am a journalist and a writer with experience covering politics, criminal justice, higher education, immigration, women’s rights, gun policy, marijuana policy and other topics. I can turn clean copy around on a tight deadline and have also published investigative and long form features in national publications. I enjoy digging into complicated stories and connecting with others through the reporting process. I recently earned by MA in Creative and Critical Writing – Literary Nonfiction from Royal Holloway, University of London. My creative and academic interests include form, reported essays, the exploration of place, and contemporary writing on nature.I also enjoy teaching and working with young people. I have a number of years of tutoring experience, as well as coaching and mentoring experience.
