About Claire Holman
Claire is a chartered scientist and chartered environmentalist with a PhD for research into air pollution. She was the Chair of the Institute of Air Quality Management from 2015-19. She is currently leading IAQM's Indoor Air Quality work. She has 40 years experience of air quality management, in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America. She was an expert witness for the family of Ella Adoo Kissi-Debrah at the ground breaking inquest into Ella' death, where the coroner concluded that air pollution contributed to her death. Drawing on her 30+ years experience of working in the air quality field BCC provides advice and impact assessments on a wide range of air quality issues including the classical pollutants (primarily nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter), odour, dust and bioaerosols. It also provides air quality support for the development of policy.
