I worked to monitor local watersheds and rivers while designing environmental education programs for Los Angeles County schools, including SEN, EAL, and low-income classrooms. I designed 20 environmental curriculum guides and lesson plans for formal and informal groups, reaching over 2,500 students in ten months. I oversaw 40 volunteer events topping 400.

I had the fortune of traveling to Sulawesi, Indonesia to assist on a four-week, grant-funded research project through the Luce Foundation comparing natural and restored mangrove forests in order to understand biodiversity and time-to-equivelancy.

Assisted with recurring turtle population study in Rainbow River, FL, collecting biometric data including weight, size, sex, taking of blood samples and injection of PIT tags on captured freshwater turtle species. I assisted with data entry, management, and quality control through Microsoft Excel.
