Worked on concept note and successful proposal development process for $11M commercialized cassava seed system project, including facilitating high-level multi-stakeholder meetings, coordinating action points, and writing and producing final proposal documents. After successful proposal, I continued working with MEDA in a capacity building role during the start-up implementation phase. Additionally, I co-wrote and researched the business case for sustainable cassava seed production in Tanzania and Uganda.

Temporary staffing as an Associate Program Officer in the Agricultural Development Team of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, working on the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas team. Managed the portfolio for yam and sweet potato investments in East and West Africa, with additional investments in cassava seed systems. Supported the development of sustainable, commercially-viable seed systems for yam, sweet potato, and cassava. Provided additional internal support to the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas team on implementing the 4-year strategic investment plan.

Temporary staffing as a Research Analyst in the Agricultural Development Team of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Contributed to the development of 4 year strategic investment plans for the Markets & Post-Harvest Loss team and the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas team. Provided on going grants management work for the Markets & Post-Harvest and the Roots, Tubers, and Bananas teams.

Strategic support to the National and Regional Grant-Making Working Group at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Developed a learning agenda to build the evidence in support of increasing direct grant-making to locally-based organizations in target countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

Researched and wrote policy briefs for the Agriculture team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Manage and analyze quantitative data, including the Living Standards Measurement Survey using STATA.

Conducted qualitative field research on BRLPS System of Rice Intensification program implementation among small-holder farmers across Bihar, India.
