Achieving results: - Responsible for the Food and Beverage budget and achieving sales targets at GROW HQ. Achieved turnover levels exceeding €1Million per annum, with consistent year-on-year growth from 2016-2020.- Built the business from the ground up – from a brown field site in 2016 to ultimately becoming an award-winning business including national Café of the Year 2020 (Georgina Campbell Awards) and location for the primetime TV Series ‘Grow, Cook, Eat.’ - Led the development of GROW HQ to become the “Go To Place “ for Waterford for tourists and locals alike, with visitor levels reaching 75,000 people in 2019.Strategic leadershipRelationship management:- Was a key member of GIY’s Senior Leadership Team reporting directly to the Founder/CEO and assisting in setting the strategic direction of the organisation and delivering on KPIs and action plans.- Led the development of the front of house, education, kitchen and garden teams. Managed, recruited, motivated and trained a staff team of 20 people.Relationship management:- Co-ordinated 7-day-a-week operations across GROW HQ’s café, catering, retail operations, garden and education activities.- Acted as a key ambassador for the business, building and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, state agencies, funders and media. - Supervised the HQ team ensuring the highest standards of food excellence and customer service were delivered.
