I have always crafted, beginning as a child sewing soft toys, tapestry and cross-stitch. Recently i have come across some of the drawings and cards I made at that time also. So the love of creating is in built within me. As a crafter now I always reach for paper, glue, inks and stamps. I like to incorporate texture and layers and a few well placed embellishments. I would say my designs are elegant, without fuss, and I think this very much makes style ideal for creating pieces for men & boys. (an area that is always a sticking point among many crafters). I do of course create cards/tags/mini books etc for all occasions.I like also to work with fabric. I will at times dedicate my crafting time to creating patchwork and quilted gifts, and cross stitching. In both mediums I have created unique pieces to give as personalised gifts. Before moving to Ireland I did introduce a circle of friends to crafting, mainly cardmaking, introducing them a wide variety of techniques. I hosted the sessions at home, and they continued for a good number of years. I have also taught a couple of classes in the local craft shop in Ireland, however the retail outlet didn't keep the momentum going.
