Since I qualified as a solicitor in 2000 I have specialised in Wills, Trusts, Tax, Probate and Elderly Client Work. I became a partner in Birkett Long in 2005 and am Head of the Probate Trusts and Tax Team in our South Essex Offices. (Chelmsford & Basildon). With three offices in Colchester, Chelmsford and Basildon, we have one of the biggest teams in Essex and have over 85 years of experience between the team members. Also, by an independent source, the Legal 500 our team has been named as the top team in Essex for the third year in a row. I have also been named in the Chambers Directory.

I have served on the committee of the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Essex Branch for 5 years and this year in June I became Chairperson. STEP is a society only for those that have specialist knowledge in the Trusts and Estate field.

I am a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly which is a specialist group of people that are qualified to advise on legal issues which affect the elderly.
