We provide forest school programmes, outdoor adventure camps, nature play, events and parties as well as services for schools. • Developed the authority’s carbon reduction strategy and implementation plan, securing a £500k revolving energy fund to invest in economically feasible carbon reduction projects and carbon innovations.• Initiated, designed and managed the Camden Climate Change Alliance (www.betterclimateforcamden.org) business improvement programme, £300k funded by the European Development Fund, 150 members to date.• Successfully bid for extended and additional funds to further grow and develop the programme until Dec 2012.• Led the authority’s approach to sustainable procurement, managing the team’s internal contract advice and tender evaluation service.• Led service development and delivery, including an annual programme of workshops and events that culminated in the annual Environmental Excellence in Camden Organisations Awards.• Developed the authority’s first climate change adaptation strategy, being one of the first authorities in England to receive a level three for progress in this new area of addressing climate change.• Supervised the work of Sustainability Officers assigned to support the climate change adaptation, carbon management, and business programmes.

• Undertook technical energy and environmental audits of organisations, buildings, processes, and construction sites leading to practical recommendations for improvement.• Alpha development of a carbon management system including data collection, carbon foot-printing, and database development using Excel visual basic.• Developed the carbon and energy knowledge base through training, briefing staff and conducting research.• Designed and delivered climate change workshops and carbon coaching sessions to small and medium sized business leaders and their environmental champions.• Built relationships between Carbon Smart, academia, and clients at the forefront of the carbon management industry, leading to the development of the Carbon Smart certification scheme• Designed and delivered the Carbon Smart certification scheme for ‘Smart’ carbon management.

• Completed the authority’s first carbon and energy audit, assessing resource efficiency, developing the carbon footprint, setting reduction targets, and securing £600k external and internal funding. • Assessed the feasibility of potential energy reduction projects, such as new ‘Green ICT’ systems, using financial and environmental criteria.• Led the Council’s environmental management function, including achieving certification to ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems for services bought within the division upon organisation restructures.• Led a team of ISO14001 Coordinators and managed the internal compliance audit programme.• Winner of Staff Achievement Award for Service Improvement, 2006.• Developed external partnerships with the Carbon Trust, London Remade, London Sustainability Exchange, and Energy Solutions North West London. • Designed, managed, and led the Council’s Going Green campaign, including internal and external events, website development, and staff training.• Acted temporary team leader managing two environmental projects and policy officers. • Deputy team leader – May 2007 to November 2007, supporting the Environmental Projects and Policy Manager
