In this role I worked within KCC's Attendance Service to monitor, report on and support the attendance of the county's Looked After Children. This involved regular data analysis and reporting, working with multi-agency partners in social services, education and the NHS, and case work with individual LAC, foster carers and schools.

I undertook PhD-level research in the field of women in local government, specifically looking at the impact on policy of female councillors in England. Teaching in the fields of British Politics, Introduction to Government, Comparative Government and Feminist Approaches to Politics and IR. Working in a school setting to manage an Inclusions Unit for pupils at risk of exclusion or requiring additional support around their emotional, social and behavioural needs.
