Managing my own business and assisting clients since Summer 2014. Focusing on all aspects of print & design, marketing & branding, media booking & creative, social media management, print production, administration, event planning & management, promotional products and print buying. Also, writing editorial pieces for publications, blogs, and PR articles to be published in local publications or online.During this period, I held the position of Marketing & Communications Manager for a prominent local outlet shopping centre, one of my key clients. This role encompassed a wide array of responsibilities and was multifaceted. I consistently drove brand awareness and engagement, resulting in significant sales growth and a year-on-year increase in footfall. I successfully oversaw all aspects of their marketing strategy, both internal and external, as well as their public relations and communications. I briefed and collaborated with creative designers, media agencies, and specialist IT/technical consultants while strategically managing the marketing budget for optimal resource allocation. I also organised and executed a variety of events. Produced editorial content for publications, blogs, and PR pieces to enhance visibility in local media and online platforms. Managing and optimising website content using WordPress and designing and executing effective email marketing campaigns through Mailchimp. I also oversaw pay-per-click (PPC) advertising initiatives, ensured the optimisation of search engine strategies (SEO), and implemented comprehensive above-the-line (ATL) marketing initiatives, including all media buying. Additionally, I focused on local networking to elevate the store's profile within the community and maintained relationships with charity partners. I also managed a team member who assisted me on a part time basis too. This role was extremely hands on, fast paced and very rewarding!

Print Management/Agency - print production, design, point of sale/point of purchase. Working with numerous clients in established and new arenas, from retail to visual merchandisers and assisting with their print, marketing and promotional products. Working with companies of various sizes and different sectors. One of the highlights for me in this role was winning bids to carry out work for a number of UN (United Nations) Departments, travelling to Geneva on numerous occasions to meet the UN teams, take briefs and deliver print/promotional products.

XL are the global market leader in innovative training, business development & revenue stream management and recruitment solutions for the graphic communications, digital and workflow industry.In this role I worked in a specialist print recruitment agency in the print and digital print industry. The knowledge and experience from both sides of the table meant that I had an all-round understanding enabling me to be successful in this role. Speaking to owners/recruiters within print/production companies to establish any needs for recruitment, talking about the industry, taking details of roles, searching for suitable candidates and advertising roles, speaking to potential candidates and then putting suitable candidates before the client. Communication was key to this role as well as my extensive knowledge and experience.

Assisting the Director in this new start up business which was predominantly website design; initially involved in getting quotes for and managing the set-up of a website, liaising with web designers, creating price plans for clients and then managing the process for new customers which included briefing website designers around the world.

Managing client accounts internally in large format print. From PVC banners to building wraps and hoardings, truck sides, large graphics and POS in stores, which included flagship stores in the UK and globally. Working alongside the Sales Managers on accounts such as GAP. This role also involved, liaising with advertising agencies to manage the print for their clients, liaising with organisations such as McCann Erickson, JC Decaux and Mediacom.

Working in this print management company, predominantly, on the Matalan account. The role involved managing all their print requirements including mailers, for print runs of millions, and personalised customer postcard mailings. Liaison between client, suppliers and printers/mailing houses and advertising agencies were key; alongside maintaining low cost and high-quality products. I was responsible for administration related to the account such as invoicing, checking & approving supplier invoices. Effective communication and organisation were essential in this fast paced and changeable role. I was also required for press passing jobs in the UK and Europe.

Worked at EMAP in a variety of roles, starting part-time in an interim maternity leave cover role as a Production Assistant, in May 1998 through to Print & Production Director, from August 2000 to February 2003. Working at EMAP provided the opportunity to work in many different aspects of magazine print and production. At the point of leaving was working as a Production Manager, after returning from maternity leave, in February 2003. Print & Production Director, August 2000 - February 2003 (prior to maternity leave)As Director, responsible for the entire production team after two teams were combined to create one larger team/department. The team were responsible for producing a full range of high-quality, well-known titles of Golf and Angling sports magazines. The role of Director meant recruitment, developing, training and motivating the team were all essential skills. Analysing performance of the team and compiling reports. This position also involved liaison with many different teams and departments, internally and externally. Overall, responsibility for the magazines going to print, mail and on to sale on time. Excellent customer relations and communication were key.
