I took a career break to travel Canada and America.

18 month contracted role in the Partnerships, Local Engagement and Commercial Services team. From October 2018 to January 2019 due to performance I was seconded to the role of Strategic Partnership Manager - Creative and Digital, and was the Account Manager for 2 Strategic Partners.I worked with the following sectors, helping to manage 11 Strategic Partners of the University:- Public and Professional Services- Cultural- Creative and DigitalI directly support the development of new and existing relationships across these sectors, by being a key point of contact, identifying new areas for collaboration and opportunity across talent, skills, research and innovation within the university, carrying out a range of analysis, investigation and coordinating milestones and outputs of the agreed delivery, managing activity plans and records. I help to engage and build relationships with 16 different internal teams, project managing actions deriving from Strategic Partnerships’ delivery plans in line with the University’s strategy for external engagement. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, my key responsibilities include: • Project management – leading on, and supporting projects with strategic partners.• Deputising Partnership Managers: being a key point of contact, knowledge lead, and the external and internal facing contact. Account management.• Employability – identifying new opportunities across schools, monitoring and reviewing activity.• Identifying relevant skills opportunities to clients such as degree apprenticeships, CPD courses and PhD fellowships. • Research projects – identifying opportunities mapped to partner challenges.• Marketing – creating, researching and writing news stories, case studies, website overhaul and updates, impact reports, promotional activity and materials. • Events – event management of partner led events, liaison with internal and external events teams on behalf of strategic partners.

Previously I was a Graduate Economic Development Researcher for Focus Consultants. As a key part of the Funding, Research and Economic Development team in Nottingham, my role consisted of:• Data analysis• Data collection• Strategic and policy document reviews• Supporting the preparation of business plans, needs analysis’ and funding applications• Supporting the preparation of economic impact reports• Preparation of high quality reports to tight deadlines. On an almost daily basis I used NOMIS and ONS sources to gather data, and often conducted socio-economic reviews for our clients to help inform their projects and to help with supporting funding bids. This can involve using additional sources of information such as the Index of Multiple Deprivation 2015, Public Health Profiles 2016, Taking Part Survey 2015 as well as data purchased from Experian or the Audience Agency, which both provide useful drive-time data. Other areas of my role include regular client contact through email, telephone and in person, dealing with clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors on a wide range of projects.
