For almost 15 years I helped relationship counsellor and clinical sexologist Leandie Buys develop copy for her website and various media outlets. I also provided PR services for several years (media liaison, media releases). I updated her website regularly, and edited her weekly blogs. I also designed her social media posts and produced the copy.

I’ve written several SEO blogs for this Australian firm which offers online marketing services for small businesses.

One of the most exciting projects that I was involved with in 2021 was interviewing Changemakers in South Africa for a new NPO called https://www.meetchangemakers.com/.I also wrote some media releases and newsletter content for them.

I help with the copy and the design of various school communications platforms including posters, PowerPoint presentations, and emailers. I also assist in updating the school’s website. I have been involved in some PR projects for the school to help raise their profile, as well as highlight important milestones. I write the media releases and liaise with the press where necessary.

I have been a copywriter for MORE Global since August 2021, when I worked on the Philips e-commerce account. My roles required keyword analysis, product research, and producing SEO copy for various Philips products which are sold on international e-commerce websites. I also liaised with our dedicated design team in order to ensure the copy and design complement each other for an effective e-commerce strategy.

In June 2021, I took on a temporary 3-month position to help with marketing the school after it was acquired by Curro Holdings. I helped update the copy on the various brochures for the pre-prep and the primary school. I was instrumental in building a database of valuable contacts to which I distributed the brochures in printed and digital format. I identified a number of unique touch-points to connect in a playful and interactive way with potential learners and parents. I also took photographs for social media use, and use in the brochures. I also undertook a few PR projects for the school and helped boost their image in print and online media. I wrote a media release and liaised with the press where necessary.

After seven years as deputy editor for All4Women.co.za, I was appointed Editor in October 2020. It was one of the most popular online women’s lifestyle magazines in the country, garnering over a million pageviews every month. Unfortunately, the owners of the magazine (Caxton Digital) made a financial decision to run the magazine internally from June 2021. Just a few of my roles at All4Women included: Brand promotion, content identification, content quality control, managing a team, identifying marketing opportunities, ensuring traffic growth, maintaining social media presence, constantly evaluating the content and ensuring it is within our readership interest as well as growing national and international trends. I was promoted to editor in October 2020 from acting editor which I took on at the beginning of September, 2020. Before that, I was the deputy editor. I also wrote numerous media releases and articles for our various clients including The Boardwalk, The Fish River Sun, Leandie Buys (clinical sexologist) and the Kirkwood Wildlife Festival.

I was involved in digital newsletter design and layout for several clients. I also produced the copy.
