The Whitbread Foundation was established in honour of the late, John and Margaret Whitbread, who were great believers in community giving. The charter of the Foundation is to support programs that break the cycle of poverty and ill health for the disadvantaged through education.Philanthropy and community giving have long-been a priority in my professional and personal life, highlighted by my ongoing involvement with The Hunger Project, a global project which seeks to empower those in need to break the cycle of hunger in their own lives. A member of The Hunger Project’s Victorian board, I’m regularly called on to speak about its work, as well as leadership and philanthropy as a business driver.
