Transaction Advisory Group

Completed a two month rotation in the Transaction Support sub-service line of EY's Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) service line. Worked on two buy-side financial due diligence projects in the real estate and oil and gas industries. Reviewed target documents to determine adjustments to the quality of earnings and debt and debt-like item analyses. Prepared databooks and/or final financial due diligence report deliverables for each client. Attended calls with c-suite executives at the clients and targets, providing meaningful contributions to the calls.

Perform experienced staff core assurance services for a global, public technology client and for a local, private oil & gas client. Prepare quarterly review procedures, interim and year end audit procedures, and controls testing for higher risk areas of the audit. Research new and amended guidance related to key areas and apply to the audit approach. Provide coaching to staff, interns, and global talent hub team members. Perform senior core assurance services for a non-profit, charitable-giving entity. Coach and detail review all work prepared by the staff on the engagement. On all engagements, work directly with the client contacts and, in some cases, the executives of the client (i.e CFO, controller). Serve as a member of the core UT recruiting team for the assurance service line. Serve on the EY activities committee that provides input and assists in planning all employee activities. Serve on the Professional Women's Network planning committee for the staff/senior event. Serve as a scribe for EY's Entrepreneur of the Year program.

Provide coaching to interns and global talent hub team members, as well as facilitate communication across service lines (i.e. IT audit function). On all engagements, work directly with client contacts. Served as a member of the UT recruiting team for my service line, attending events to recruit campus-hire talent to the assurance service line.

Hold office hours twice per week to answer student questions. Grade weekly homework and quizzes. Assist in preparation of the final exam for both Advanced Audit and Intro to Assurance.

Introduction to Management Information Systems.Assist in the grading of assignments. Hold office hours twice per week for students to ask questions on class material and excel homeworks.

Assurance work on three clients in the pharmaceutical, technology, and real estate industries. Work on financial statement audits, proxy statement audits, and OER audits.

Audit work on three clients in the areas of payables, cash, leases, fraud inquiries, receivables, disaggregated revenues, and legal fees.
