After an intense few years as CFO, steering the ship through the rough waters of Covid and Brexit I decided to leave Harrison Pneumatics, to take a years sabbatical. Taking this time to reconnect with my creativity has been brilliant for my mind and motivation. It has been a good reset and it clarified for me where I wanted to go next, I launched a small eco company called Chestnut Shepherds Huts which is doing well and I am a freelance consultant.A combination of life experience and personality have made me good at leadership and management, I can bring clarity and direction to projects and teams and I am all about making it happen and within budget! I have a strong eye for detail and the big picture. I encourage talent and I insist on quality. I also have excellent contacts in numerous sectors from construction, design, IT, marketing, finance to name a few. So I am now a freelance consultant available for short to long term projects; whether that is getting an idea off the ground, launching a start-up or implementing the structure you need to be more productive and profitable or managing a one off campaign or project. I am interested in working for companies or individuals that are passionate, talented and ethical. Harrison Pneumatics Ltd was a respected Industrial Control Systems producer and subcontractor manufacturing partner with over 40 years of history, knowledge and sector expertise; automation, fluid power and motion control. As CFO I was involved in business processes across the organisation and made practical decisions about the operational future of the company that influenced functional developments throughout the organisation. The key to our 40 years of cross-industry success wass our commitment to high quality at each stage in production, our customer service and of course our valued employees. My role was to plan and implement further growth for the company and in the 10 years I was there we expanded our South East production house called HP Systems Division specialising in high spec, R&D and Atex projects, dealing primarily but not exclusively with Rail, Oil & Gas, & Power, serving the UK and International markets, Hp Systems is based near London on the Surrey, Hampshire, border. We also expanded with a Northern office and another production facility in the Southwest developing a young team of engineers to come up through the company; in the Southwest facility the focus was on the high volume small subassembly and kitting services that we provided along with control systems, manifold and panels for customers around the globe.
