Editor - External Consultant - "Det Sker"
CurrentA Danish nonprofit membership organization that works for the protection of senior citizens' interests in society. It has the 2nd largest magazine distribution in Denmark with six yearly publications, incl. "Det Sker", containing 16 locally targeted district magazines:-Collect and assess all written content from all district editors (countrywide) and in some districts without one then the local editors - app. 96 contact-points in all.-Review written material and articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, accuracy, and compliance with spelling standards.-Hard editing of written material while maintaining main points to fit information hierarchy, design manual, and allocated pages for any given issue and district.-Prepare, rewrite and edit to improve readability and impact (always with the reader in mind), incl. proofreading, and preflight before submitting the final 16 magazines for print and final approval by head-office.-Communicate and motivate district and local editors to collaboratively assess their work and guide editorial improvements under tight deadlines.-Functioning as the main communication channel and contact point between the head office and organization and the district and local editors as well as the printing house.-Facilitate as well as create presentations to support and educate new andseasoned district editors on established processes, new processes and general best practice.
