Clancy spent eleven years working alongside maternal health advocate Christy Turlington Burns, producing her documentary films and in developing the non-profit, Every Mother Counts. She began her career in maternal health by co-producing Turlington Burns' debut documentary film, NO WOMAN, NO CRY (OWN) about global maternal mortality and morbidity. With additional experience developing EMC into a 501c3 non-profit since its launch in 2010, Clancy focused primarily on creating EMC's film and storytelling portfolio. She directed and produced the 6-part documentary series, GIVING BIRTH IN AMERICA (CNN), about the maternal health crisis in the US. She has directed/produced content highlighting the barriers and solutions to maternal healthcare in Tanzania, Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Uganda, Nepal, India, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. Her work has been featured on CNN, National Geographic, OWN, TIME, and The Washington Post, and screened at global health conferences and film festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival, SFFILM's Doc Stories, SCAD: The Savannah Film Festival, the American Public Health Association (APHA), the United Nations General Assembly, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM), the American College of Obstetricians Gynecologists (ACOG), Columbia University, Stanford University, NYU, Brown University, Princeton University, NYU Langone, UCSF, UCLA, Frontier University, Amnesty International, Planned Parenthood, Yale, and the University of Miami. In addition to storytelling, Clancy also led and executed in-country site visits for high-profile donors, partners, and community supporters to meet with local maternal health programs and run marathon races in Guatemala, Haiti, Tanzania, Bangladesh. She also produced, led and executed annual fundraiser events, including the annual Mpower luncheon and LoveEMC concert benefit, throughout the US and abroad.

NO WOMAN, NO CRY is a gripping documentary that tells the personal stories of pregnant women and their caregivers in four countries as they try to avoid adding to these troubling statistics.The film puts audiences in the footsteps of a Maasai woman in labor who must walk five miles to a clinic with no electricity, a young pregnant woman in the slums of Bangladesh too ashamed to seek out care, a pregnant OB in Guatemala who helps women who have suffered from botched illegal abortions, and a midwife in central Florida who treats uninsured women who are denied appointments elsewhere.NO WOMAN, NO CRY premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and made it’s US TV premiere on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network in 2011. It is currently being broadcasted around the world in over 120 countries.
