As one of the first employees at a tech startup in the rapidly changing business intelligence field I filled many roles from product development to sales to data analysis. My primary responsibility was developing and implementing our strategies for product deployment, support, consulting, and other client-facing operations in the public sector. I lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop Numetric's flagship BI application, Numetric for Crash and Safety Analysis, a first of its kind tool for analyzing highway crash and safety data that has become the national standard for crash data analysis for state and local agencies.

Developed custom big data analysis tools for use in UDOT's asset management and safety programs, along with several internal tools that improved decision making and streamlined data analysis. Specialized in traffic impact studies and Master Transportation Plans. Reviewed UDOT traffic studies and Operational Safety Reports. Performed traffic analysis for various roadway and interchange design projects.

Analyzed ramp meter and Express Lane operations in Utah, Salt Lake, and Davis Counties.Analyzed crash data and developed project concepts for safety funding including justification for the use of "No Passing Zone" signs to mitigate passing related crashes.Performed speed studies and provided design recommendations for climbing lane projects.Designed or assisted with design of various pavement rehabilitation, guardrail, and widening projects.Created a spreadsheet tool that automated highway safety barrier design, reducing design time by 30-50% and improving communication with contractors.
