I recently finished the master´s program Comparative Biomedicine – Infection Biomedicine and Tumor Signalling Pathways.

I worked on my master thesis at the lab of Prof. Dr. E. Cox. at the Department of virology, parasitology and immunology at the Faculty of veterinary medicine of Ghent University. The project was about allergy in dogs, whereby I investigated the local effects of sublingual immunotherapy in the oral mucosa. To do this I used techniques like cell culture, ELISA, flow cytometry and immunofluorescence. I did this exchange within the framework of Erasmus+.

I was at the microbiology laboratorium at Barmherzige Schwestern Hospital Vienna.There I saw how microbiological diagnosis of different kinds of samples work and got hands on experience with bacterial cultures, MALDI-TOF, antibiotic resistance testing and PCR tests.
